For both pieces, love the aesthetic of real-life meshed with cartoon. Most of all, I love the coloring. Very pretty.

looks really cool, tho taking a closer look at the city reveals some wonky details. My favorite being the floating piece of a street light at about the middle of the page. Still a really cool piece

Was a cool read, definitely related to the line "You will not have fun as an artist. You chose this path because, just like me, you can't do anything in life besides drawing stickmen".

I like to think that I have some fun when drawing the shit that I draw, but when you push yourself to draw something that you haven't drawn before it can get real frustrating real fast. When I do eventually figure it out tho, using it in a new sketch feels great. It's a cycle of suffering then enjoyment. It's important to find projects that you enjoy making, but it's also just as important to suffer through the studies/practices/shit you just can't figure out since that suffering can lead to improvement.

And of course, being an amateur cartoonist who is pretty much garbage at everything else in life, that last part sings to me.
